Dr. Eric Kramer, O.D.
Dr. Eric Kramer is an honors graduate of the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. He has been serving patients in Modesto since 1976 and is an active member (and past president) of the San Joaquin Optometric Society, California Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. In addition to practicing full-scope optometry, Dr. Kramer specializes in hard-to-fit contact lens. He is board certified to treat eye pathology and injuries, and attends to both children’s visual needs and the special ophthalmic needs of geriatric population.
Dr. Kramer is married and has two daughters. He enjoys composing and performing a variety of music on piano and guitar; check out Momentary Lady on YouTube. With his wife, Lori, he has extensively traveled in the U.S. and throughout the world, including hiking the Inca trail to Machu Picchu. As a member of our local Adventure Club he has participated in such exciting sports as sky diving, snow shoeing, kayaking, and ultra-light flying.
Dr. Alma Martinez, O.D.
Dr. Martinez Torres received her doctorate in Optometry with Honors from Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry. She is certified in the treatment of primary open angle glaucoma and the fitting of contact lenses. She is a board member of the San Joaquin Optometric Society, the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association. She has practiced in the Central Valley for the last four years and is fluent in Spanish and English. She is passionate about providing quality care for patients and staying current in advances in optometry.
Dr. Martinez Torres was raised in Riverbank, California and decided to become an optometrist after being exposed to the profession at an early age. She enjoys volunteering in community health fairs, traveling, cooking, and spending time with family. She believes in giving back to the community and the value of educating the public on the importance of preventive eye care.
